This day was probably my favorite because I took Hunter to one of the best areas in Paris, Montmartre, and it was so much fun and so romantic and I definitely enjoyed it! I think I like Montmartre so much because every time I visit, the area reminds me of the more romantic side of Paris- the side you see in movies and hear about in songs. There are always musicians playing outside and you can smell warm pastries from the artisan shops and there is beautiful art to gaze at... the atmosphere itself is insipring! Hunter and I ended up spending all day walking around enjoying the sunshine.
Here we are in the morning by Sacré Coeur looking out over Paris.
Here was our view with a little music in the background:
Awww! Hunter was inspired too!

Hunter likes to whistle as he strolls.

Here we are walking through the streets.
Here's a clip of us walking through the streets some more, but I tried to capture some of the romance in the air:

I adore this picture because it makes me feel so loved!

Here's one of the cute streets in Montmartre.

There's me standing in the road.
Here's Hunter standing in front of this small square called Place du Tertre, which is where a lot of local artists go to sell their paintings. There are also artists there who can sketch your portrait on demand. Some are better than others, but the idea of it is so cute, I think.
Another view of that square with a tower of Sacré Coeur in the background.

One more view of the square.

Here's a chic little restaurant close by that has a windmill on top. I just like how it looks.
While we were walking around, we were fortunate enough to hear a guy playing some Edith Piaf on his accordion, and I took a quick video. He was playing "La Vie en Rose", which was definitely appropriate for the moment!
Montmartre is kind of touristy so there were a lot of shops selling souvenirs. I made Hunter try on a hat from one of the shops, and I thought he looked cute, but I don't think he was very amused.

After walking around all day, Hunter and I stopped at a café so that Hunter could try the experience of having a coffee on the terrace in Paris. We found the perfect place in the sun, and right after we sat down, a guy came up close to our table and played his violin. We couldn't ask for anything better!
Then I took him to see the Moulin Rouge!
Hunter had the great idea to go buy some cheese and a baguette and go have a small picnic as the sun was setting! We sat right in front of the Moulin Rouge and enjoyed the surroundings. And later that night...Since before Hunter came to Paris, I promised him that I would take him to a night club that plays techno and house music- basically the kind of music that Europeans can't get enough of, but that you don't hear so much in the US. So later that night we dressed up and met Monica so we could all go to one of my favorite clubs in Paris, called Duplex!
Here we are, dressed up and ready to go!

Hunter had to practice his "I'm a cool European guy" face.
And he had to practice his dance moves before we left, too! Not bad, not bad. And yes, I did dress him that night. :)
One more picture before heading out!
This was from when we were on the Metro heading to the club. See the Eiffel Tower in the background?
Here we are having a blast and tired from dancing at the club!
When it was time to head back home, we thought we'd take advantage of the fact that we were all in Paris, by the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysées (the club is really close to both of these places), and that it was fairly late at night so no one was around. If you didn't know before, the Arc de Triomphe is located in the center of a huge round-about that is way too dangerous to cross on foot during the daytime because the cars whip around the circles really fast, and a lot of the drivers are even looking at the Arc at the same time. But on a deserted night like this one, crossing the round-about is definitely possible, and we did it! Twice actually- we sprinted across to get to the Arc, then sprinted back across to get to the Champs Elysées. And we survived to tell the tale! How many people can say they've crossed that round-about on foot? And yes, Mom, I promise to not do it again. :)
So here's a triumphant pose in the ground lighting at the Arc from me and Monica!

And here's another triumphant pose from me and Hunter!
Next, we strolled down the champs-Elysées and found a stop for one of the night buses so we could go home. But while we waited, we had to entertain ourselves...
Here's a panoramic shot of Hunter and Monica! (It's hard to see the picture like this, but remember if you click on the photo, a bigger version will pop up.)

Here's a jump shot of all three of us!
And here's the video we had to take to get the jump shot from above. I'm only posting this because I thought it was hilarious:
For this picture, we waited until the light turned red on the Champs Elysées, then ran out to the center of the crosswalk, and took the picture really fast. It came out nicely, I thought.
Here I am excited to be on the Champs Elysées!

Hunter was happy too!

Candid picture of Hunter!

Monica looking beautiful as always!

One last group photo on the Champs Elysées.
Then, we got on the night bus and all went home to get some sleep. As a somewhat odd ending to our exciting night, Hunter and I saw this random guy laying in the back of the bus snoring really loudly. I thought it was pretty funny though:Like I said before, this was one of my favorite days of Hunter's visit!Bisous XOXO

What a great day for all of you. Loved the dress you had on for your night out. Was that the one we bought the night we went out for fondue? You and Monica looked gorgeous and Hunter was just "Hot". You did a good job fixing him up, not that he needs much help to look good.
Thanks for saying you wouldn't be crossing the busy street again near the Arc de Triomphe. I don't believe you since this was your second time that I know of, but the thought was nice. :)
Love you!
Yes that was exactly the dress and I'm glad I wore it because I became the person to look for if anyone was separated from the group!
And of course I crossed the round-about twice... otherwise I couldn't get back to the other side!
And I agree that Hunter was and is still very hot. :)
Lol I'm flattered...
I agree about the coffee we got at Montmartre, the scene was so perfect. Just outside the square so it was quiet, but you could still see everything, and the sun was down in the horizon, with a violinist playing and of course I was sitting next to you Samantha. :)
AWWWW!!!! :D
