More Torino pictures!

Hello everyone! I got some more pictures from our Torino trip so I thought I'd share!

Here are some more pictures from the National Cinema Museum. Remember I said they had some crazy sets? Well we decided to have some fun with them...

Ashley seems to be doing some mischief in the chemistry lab...

Muah ha ha ha!!! It's alive!

More mischief from Shannon now. She does terrorism old-school.

We got pretty hungry so we tried to grab some food from the giant fake fridge.

Ashley took forever deciding if she wanted the giant fake cheese or the giant fake watermelon.

Here we are braving the haunted house...

Here's that cheesy honeymoon suite again! I think we had a little too much fun there...

Diving in!

There's nothing like a good, old-fashioned, western bar fight. I had to knock her out for calling me 'yellow'!!

Here's the aftermath from too much whiskey and fighting. I'll try to stay out of saloons from now on.

Here we are at the Parco del Valentino! This is where the Castello del Valentino was.

Sitting on a tree at the Parco del Valentino. Look how green everything is!!

Here we are back at the Olympic Village. We were surprised by how dead it was here... we're standing in the middle of this massive parking lot and there were maybe 6 cars there. It seemed like they built the village, used it for the Olympics, and then abandoned it. It was a little sad, actually.

Here I am breaking into a corridor in the village. A little later, some guy found us and asked us to leave in a mix of broken English and Italian. Oh well.

We found the dresses that the escorts wore for the Opening Ceremony! They were made to look like the Alps.

The Olympic Arch!

Here we are at the Egyptian Museum. I was trying to see if there was anything in this sarcophagus.

Sphinx!

Mummy!

Here we are at te Monte dei Cappucini pushing Shannon off the edge!

They had so many lights hanging around the city. This one translates to: "it is always a little difficult". How nice.

More lights! They made this to look like a shining sun.

We ate a lot of gelato on this trip... and it was soooooo gooooood!!!!!!

Back at the Castello del Valentino trying to get in the gates!

More crazy pens at the Castello. I wish I knew what they were for...

...but we still had fun with them. Here I am showing off my penmanship.

More of the Basilica di Superga. I got artsy with the angles.

More artsy-ness.

And some more.

This was a walkway going around the basilica. I love how the colors of fall were so vibrant yet there was still so much green.

This should be a fall postcard. It's a tree next to the Basilica.

So what have I done since the trip? Not much, if I'm being honest. I read and do work for my classes, watch tv online so I can keep up-to-date with what's going on back home, and stay indoors a lot because it's gotten colder and darker outside. Actually, it gets dark here around 5pm now, so it always seems later than it really is. But it is nice to curl up with a hot cup of vanilla tea to watch the Daily Show or Les Simpson (ha ha).

They have started putting up Christmas decorations around the city, so I'll be posting some of that soon.

Bisous! (that means 'kisses' and it's a cool way to end messages here!) :)

"Mummy"
Is that what the frightened boy said when he saw the skeleton?
