My winter break!

Ok this has nothing to do with Paris, but I thought I'd share anyway.

So for this past 2 weeks I've been at home spending Christmas with my family! I had a blast and I loved being in warm weather (here in Paris it's below freezing) and seeing everyone and eating my mom's food!! I think one of my favorite moments was when I stepped inside my house again for the first time in about 4 months and saw this!! :
The picture is a little blurry but you can still see our beautiful Christmas tree and stockings hung over the fireplace. It even smelled amazing because Mom uses those air freshener things that smell like Christmas. It was such a good feeling to come home after a long day of flying and coughing (I was sick) and fall asleep in my own bed in my own house. :D

Here's a close up of our mantel! My stocking is the cool-looking one that's 2nd from the left.

Our tree! Mom decorates so well...

We had family come down for Christmas! Here's almost everyone : Aunt Tina, Uncle Steve, Scott, his friend Donald, and Grandma (there was Grandpa and Mom and me too, but not in this picture).

To Aunt Tina and Uncle Steve: Thanks so much for coming down to visit! I had a blast spending time with you both, playing board games and doing Christmas stuff. And thanks so much for all your support for my blog- it makes it so much more fun to keep up with it!
And to Scott: It was great having you too! You and Chris are the best cousins anyone could ask for, and I love you both! (By the way, I actually won Monopoly after you left) :D

So whereas the first week was all about the family, the second week was all about the boyfriend! This was my first time seeing him for about 4 months, so it was definitely nice spending all my time with him for a week.

We had so much fun together- we went to the High Museum, Piedmont Park, we tried out different restaurants around Atlanta (Chow Baby on Howell Mill is really good by the way), went ice skating, saw a movie (Benjamin Button- if you haven't seen it yet, go see it!)...it was awesome.
To Hunter: I had so so so much fun with you and can't wait to see you again in Paris! I love you!

This break was just what I needed to relax and cure my homesickness pains for a while. Thank you to everyone who helped make it extra special, and I love you all!!

P.S. A humongous thanks goes to my mom for feeding me all that good food and making sure my bed was ready for me. And I know it's a hassle waiting to take down all the Christmas decorations until after I left and couldn't help you, but I loved seeing them up the whole time I was home. So thank you and I love you so much!!!! :D

Now on to 'Hello from Paris' part 2...

Bisous XOXO

We so enjoyed you being home for Christmas. I don't know what we would have done with your Mamma if you hadn't been able to come. Congratulations on your last assignment. Your Mom told me how well you did.
We are so proud of you and Grandpa just stays amazed at you studying in Paris.
Love you
